Haru Hisakawa's Takara Shimai Manga Ends: English Version Released as "Jackpot Sisters"

Another story in the manga world comes to an end! The popular manga series Takara Shimai, written and illustrated by Haru Hisakawa, officially concluded with its final chapter published last Friday. The final installment, featured in the 11th issue of Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine this year, both saddened readers and brought joy with the series' expansion into the international arena.
Simultaneously with the series' finale, Square Enix surprised global fans. The manga has been translated into English under the title Jackpot Sisters and added to the Manga UP! Global platform. The story follows two sisters named Niina and Mana, who struggle with life's challenges, as their lives are transformed by a mysterious inheritance or a stroke of luck (a jackpot). The series' sincere narrative and character dynamics helped it gain a wide fan base in a short time.
Author Haru Hisakawa is no stranger to the manga world. Known for the globally acclaimed series Cat Massage Therapy (Neko no Massageya-san), which was brought to English audiences by Seven Seas, the artist focused this time on a story of sisterhood containing elements of drama and comedy. Takara Shimai has concluded its journey, which began in January 2025, with a well-paced finale after about a year and a half.
This move by the Manga UP! platform is seen as part of Square Enix's strategy to deliver its Japanese content to readers worldwide more quickly. The platform has recently featured major titles such as The Apothecary Diaries and My Dress-Up Darling.
