Hino Arashi's New Manga Series 'Human and Demon Love Consultation Office!' Begins
Beloved manga artist Hino Arashi has come before readers with a brand new series. Released on June 18 on Overlap's digital manga platform Comic Gardo, "Human and Demon Love Consultation Office!" (Japanese: 異種族恋愛相談所！ ～人間と魔族の恋愛お手伝いします～) tackles human-demon relations in a fun and unconventional way. The first chapter centers on a demon woman with quite... interesting eating habits: this demon consumes human bodily fluids to survive.
The series' concept is simple but wonderful: a consultation office that offers practical solutions to love adventures between humans and demons. Hino Arashi is known for previous works in the same fantasy-romantic comedy genre, such as "Maō no Ore ga Dorei Elf o Dōka Shita". With this new series, he once again pushes the boundaries of the genre; this time, he handles relationships between characters of different species (interspecies) in a humorous and emotional framework. The mangaka asks readers "Is true love possible between a human and a demon?" and gives the answer through the voices of the heroes.
Comic Gardo is a digital magazine that Overlap uses especially to discover new talents. The first chapters of popular series such as "Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!" were also published on the platform before. Hino Arashi's new series is a subject of great curiosity for both fans of the genre and fans of the mangaka.
