The Unexpected Response to the Prince Who Said 'I Will Never Love You': New Romantic Manga Volume Released!

A new series that turns conventional clichés in the world of romantic manga upside down has met its readers. Mag Garden officially released the first volume of the manga "I Was Told 'I Will Never Love You,' So I Replied 'Is That So? Me Too.'" (Japanese: 「お前を愛することはない」と言われたので「そうなの? 私もよ」と言い返しておきました。), illustrated by Azami Fujinaga, on May 15th. Based on Fueji's popular light novel series of the same name, this work focuses on the unusual married life of the "Ice Prince" and a cool-headed young girl.
Our story begins with Lanvelt, known as the kingdom's "Ice Prince," bluntly telling his fiancée Theresia, "I will never love you." This sentence, which would normally be expected to be a dramatic element, takes on a whole new dimension when Theresia smiles and replies, "Is that so? I won't love you either." For Theresia, who does not quite understand love and affection and even finds such emotions unnecessary, this declaration actually means great freedom. However, things get complicated when the supposedly cold Lanvelt starts taking Theresia out on dates regularly every week and showing her unexpected attention.
Looking at the background of the series, we see that the original story was written by Fueji and first gained great popularity on the Shousetsuka ni Narou platform. Azami Fujinaga, who undertook the manga adaptation of the series with character designs by Shirano, successfully puts the characters' seemingly emotionless but actually funny and sweet states onto paper. The series, which is serialized on Mag Garden's MAGCOMI platform, is particularly notable for its "slow-burn" romance and the process of the characters getting to know each other.
