According to a report from Anime Corner, the manga will conclude with its next volume. This news officially confirms that the series' long-running manga adventure has reached its conclusion.
The story of the series begins with office worker Azusa Aizawa, who dies from overwork and is reborn as an immortal witch. Over the 300 years she spends in her new world, Azusa hunts slimes not to gain power but to live a quiet life; however, without realizing it, she defeats every monster and becomes the world's most powerful being. With dragon girls, spirits, and other colorful characters gathering around Azusa, who reaches max level against her will, this adventure has become one of the sweetest comedies of the isekai genre.
The series originally started as a web novel. After Kisetsu Morita began publishing it on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2016, the story quickly caught the attention of Kadokawa and made its way to shelves as a light novel. The manga adaptation, which started in 2017 on Kadokawa's Comic Clear platform with illustrations by Yusuke Shiba, reached a wide readership. The manga was also licensed in English by Yen Press, bringing it to international readers.
The series' rise in the media world didn't stop there. The anime adaptation by Revoroot aired in 2021 and quickly won the hearts of isekai fans. The announcement of a sequel season right after the first season shows that this universe will continue to grow in the media world as well.
