K Manga Expands Its Library: Award-Winning Comedy and New Series Now Available!

We have great news for manga enthusiasts! Kodansha's official digital reading platform, K Manga, has announced that it is expanding its library with three exciting new series. The new titles added to the platform include one of the most talked-about school comedies of recent times, Even the Student Council Has Its Holes! (Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru!), the popular spin-off That Time I Got Reincarnated in PES, and the romance-filled Working as my Tyrannical Chancellor Husband's Aide (While in Disguise!).
The most notable name in this announcement is undoubtedly the series Even the Student Council Has Its Holes!, written by Muchimaro. If you haven't heard of it before, it made a huge splash by winning first place in the print manga category at the 2023 Next Manga Awards (Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishou). Published in Weekly Shonen Magazine, this series focuses on the unconventional, strange, and equally entertaining daily life of a student council. The addition of the series to the English digital library will allow Western fans to access this award-winning work legally.
Another interesting name on the list is That Time I Got Reincarnated in PES. Based on the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (TenSura) universe, which has millions of fans worldwide and is considered one of the pioneers of the Isekai genre, this spin-off offers a different perspective to fans of the series. Considering how much the original universe created by Fuse has expanded, it is not surprising that such side projects are finding a place on platforms like K Manga. The third addition, Working as my Tyrannical Chancellor Husband's Aide (While in Disguise!), targets readers looking for drama and romance by telling the story of a woman who has to work as her own husband's aide while in disguise.
Kodansha launched the K Manga platform in May 2023 with the aim of delivering its current publications in Japan to global readers simultaneously or quickly. These new additions prove how much the platform values not only mainstream giant series but also award-winning niche works and spin-offs of popular series. The addition of an award-winning work like Even the Student Council Has Its Holes! to the library is seen as part of the platform's strategy to increase content quality. Readers can access the current chapters of these series immediately via the app.
