Knight Commander! I am not a suspicious person! Manga's First Volume on Shelves

A new romantic comedy manga, beginning with a heartbroken young girl meeting a knight commander, has met its readers. The first volume of the series “Knight Commander! I am not a suspicious person! Moreover, I cannot be your fiancée! THE COMIC”, written by Rai and illustrated by Maina Ibuki, hit shelves in Japan on June 15, 2025.
The story begins when our heroine, the daughter of a noble, is mistaken for a suspicious person while running through the streets with a broken heart. At that moment, the knight commander with a black heart appears, not only mistaking her for a criminal but also making things more complicated by saying he wants to marry her. This "worst first meeting" scene promises both laughter and tension for readers.
The series' author Rai is known for popular manga such as "The Former Ranker's Second Life". The illustrator Maina Ibuki is known for her delicate drawings in the romantic comedy genre. This first collaboration between the duo is already receiving positive feedback from fans with the series published by Japanese publisher KADOKAWA.
This work, which deals with the themes of "forced engagement" and "misunderstandings" in the manga genre, particularly appeals to readers who enjoy popular series like "Otome Game no Hametsu Flag" (Bakarina) and "The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent". The first volume, which shows how scheming and intriguing the knight commander really is, lays the foundation for the dynamics between the characters.
Although no official Turkish license announcement has been made yet, with the release of the first volume in Japan, the series is expected to be considered for international distribution. The manga, which has quickly gained popularity on digital platforms, may soon meet readers with English translations. It's only a matter of time before local publishers take action for a Turkish edition.
The second volume of the series is planned to be released in Japan in fall 2025. Meanwhile, Rai and Maina Ibuki continue to share new chapter previews and illustrations on their social media accounts. An unmissable start for fans of romantic comedy and misunderstandings.
