Laid-Back Camp and Mono Manga Series Go on Hiatus Due to Creator Afro's Health Issues
Laid-Back Camp (also known as Yuru Camp in Turkey) and Mono, another manga series by the same creator Afro, have gone on an indefinite hiatus due to the worsening health of the illustrator. According to Anime Corner, new chapters of both series will not be released for now due to Afro's health issues. The announcement came as a sad development for Yuru Camp, which gained millions of fans with its peaceful camping-themed story, especially during the winter months.
Afro made a big breakthrough with the Laid-Back Camp series, which he started in 2015. The story follows high school student Nadeshiko Kagamihara and her friends' camping adventures. The series had an anime adaptation in 2018, continuing with three seasons and a movie. Afro's other work, Mono, focuses on the story of photography club members and has been serialized since 2017. Both series were published in Manga Time Kirara magazine.
