The LDK Legend Returns: The Sequel Series LDK Pink Is Now Digital!

Kodansha's official digital platform K Manga has made an announcement that has thrilled romantic comedy fans. LDK Pink, the sequel to the legendary shoujo series LDK by Ayu Watanabe, has now been added to the platform's library. First launched in Japan in February 2022, this sequel series sheds new light on the lives of our characters years after the original story concluded.
LDK Pink introduces us to the series' unforgettable couple, Aoi Nishimori and Shusei Kugayama, at the age of 23. The story of their cohabitation, which began by chance during their high school years and blossomed into a great love, moves into adulthood in this new series. Although the duo continues to live together, their agenda now includes thoughts of marriage and the more mature responsibilities brought on by adult life. Ayu Watanabe promises readers a more "pink" and romantic atmosphere while maintaining that famous chemistry between the characters.
The original LDK series created a massive 24-volume body of work during its run from 2009 to 2017. Beyond being just a love story, the series is known for turning the "kabedon" (pinning someone against a wall) move into a phenomenon in Japanese pop culture. This popularity paved the way for a film starring Kento Yamazaki in 2014 and a second live-action adaptation with a different cast in 2019.
This move by K Manga is of great importance, especially for the international fanbase that has struggled to access current chapters. Since LDK Pink is published at irregular intervals in Japan's Bessatsu Friend magazine, the arrival of new chapters
