The manga began its serialization in May 2025. A collaboration between writer Yū Nomiya and illustrator Merou Meiji, the work brought together a bizarre concept: classic mahō shōjo (magical girl) elements on one hand, and the brutal world of drug cartels on the other. This unusual blend quickly drew attention, especially on social media, and built a curious readership.
Although no official statement has been made, the series ending so quickly often suggests a commercial or editorial decision rather than a planned finale. Nevertheless, the world created by Nomiya and Meiji during this time will be remembered as an alternative dark mahō shōjo narrative.
