Manga Up! Global Expands Its Library: Two New Series Now Available in English

Square Enix's popular digital manga platform Manga Up! Global continues to grow its library for international readers. With its latest announcement, the platform has officially begun publishing Welcome to the Yandere Cafe by Hinomiya and The Beast King Ouma Reconquers the World by Aoi Hiroumi in English. This move stands out as part of Square Enix's strategy to provide more licensed and high-quality content to its fan base outside of Japan.
Welcome to the Yandere Cafe (Yandere Cafe e Youkoso!) draws readers into an atmosphere that is both fun and slightly chilling. Brought to life by Hinomiya's unique style, the series is a comedy centered around the 'yandere' character archetype. The story revolves around Kuraki, a high school student who visits a yandere-themed cafe. While everything initially seems like a safe role-playing game, the staff's interest in Kuraki eventually leads them to become actual yanderes. This romantic comedy, blended with psychological elements, offers a fresh perspective for fans of the genre.
The other new addition, The Beast King Ouma Reconquers the World (Kemono no Ouma no Reconquest), targets fans of fantasy adventure and action. In this world created by Aoi Hiroumi, known for the Shibuya Kingyo series, a 'survival of the fittest' beastman society is depicted. Focusing on the return of Ouma (Wang Zhen), the great king who once united the world, the series draws attention with its epic battles and deep world-building. This series, which was published in Gangan Joker magazine in Japan and concluded in 2025, is now accessible to global readers.
Launched in July 2022, Manga Up! Global houses Square Enix's giant franchises such as Fullmetal Alchemist, Soul Eater, and The Apothecary Diaries, as well as next-generation series. The platform is known for its point and ticket system used to access chapters and provides a strong, legal alternative to piracy. Square Enix's rapid translation of these current series into English strengthens the platform's position in the digital publishing world while ensuring fans can access the latest stories through reliable channels.
