Koi to Uso Creator Musawo Returns with New Manga "Lilimholic"

Musawo, the famous mangaka behind the Koi to Uso (Love and Lies) series, is returning with a new project that is sure to excite fans. According to an announcement in the 22nd and 23rd combined issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine, the artist's new manga series, Lilimholic, will meet readers on May 13, 2026. The new series will also have the honor of featuring lead color pages in its first chapter.
Lilimholic is described as a romantic comedy centered around a "succubus." Musawo previously proved their talent in the romance genre with the highly acclaimed Koi to Uso, which was serialized between 2014 and 2022. That series, which depicted a dystopian world where the government chooses partners for young people when they turn 16, received both an anime adaptation and a live-action film in 2017. The artist was also long discussed in the manga world for the two different ending options they offered readers in the finale of Koi to Uso.
The famous mangaka most recently worked on Kareshi Toki Doki Kanojo (My Boyfriend Is Sometimes My Girlfriend), which was published in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine and concluded in October 2024. Musawo's characteristic art style with high emotional depth has raised expectations for the new series, Lilimholic. It is a matter of curiosity how a supernatural theme like a succubus will be blended with the author's usual complex emotional relationships.
In the manga world, the return of veteran names to mainstream magazines with new series is always met with great interest. With the release of Lilimholic, it will soon become clear whether the series will be published simultaneously on international platforms (especially via Kodansha's K MANGA app). For manga enthusiasts who love romantic comedy and supernatural genres, May 13 stands out as a date to mark on the calendar.
