My Friend's Little Sister Has it in For Me Manga Ends: Volume 12 Will Be the Last

The end of an era is approaching for fans of the popular romantic comedy series My Friend's Little Sister Has it in For Me (Tomodachi no Imouto ga Ore ni Dake Uzai). It has been announced that the manga adaptation, illustrated by Hira Hiraoka, will officially conclude with its 12th volume, which is scheduled for release this autumn. With the 11th volume having just hit shelves on May 7, 2026, this announcement from publisher Square Enix confirms that the story will reach its end in manga format.
Starting its publication in December 2019 on Square Enix's Manga UP! platform, the series is adapted from Ghost Mikawa's popular light novel series of the same name. The story follows the dynamic relationship between Ooboshi Akiteru, a high school student obsessed with efficiency who avoids unnecessary social interactions, and Kohinata Iroha, the younger sister of his best friend. Iroha's famous "annoying" (uzai) yet flirtatious behavior, directed only at Akiteru, stands out as the defining feature that sets the series apart from others in the genre.
The series creator Ghost Mikawa is also known for other highly successful works in recent years, such as Gimai Seikatsu (Days with My Stepsister). The My Friend's Little Sister Has it in For Me brand was not limited to just the manga; the anime adaptation produced by Studio BLADE aired between October and December 2025 and received significant attention. With the manga ending following the first season of the anime, there is great curiosity among fans regarding how the story will conclude.
While a specific date has not yet been set for the final 12th volume, it is expected to be released during the autumn 2026 season.
