Nabeshiki's 'Heion ni Ikitai' Web Novel Gets Manga Adaptation

According to Anime News Network, Nabeshiki's web novel Heion ni Ikitai has been adapted into a manga by illustrator Urozane. The adaptation launched on August 14, 2026, and is the first visual adaptation of the novel. The story revolves around a hero whose stats are all reduced to 1.
Nabeshiki especially made a name for himself with the I Parry Everything series. That series also started as a web novel, then expanded to a light novel, manga, and an anime adaptation in 2024. The manga adaptation of Heion ni Ikitai stands out as a new step following the author's success.
Heion ni Ikitai roughly means "I Want to Live in Peace". The series' main idea is to tell the story of a character whose stats all drop to 1 in an RPG world. This premise provides a familiar yet intriguing ground, especially for readers who enjoy the "ordinary-looking but actually powerful" character trope.
Manga adaptations of web novels have long remained popular in Japan. The fact that Nabeshiki's previous series went as far as an anime raises the question of whether Heion ni Ikitai will follow a similar path. For now, the first visual adaptation is a manga; how the series will be received and what will happen in future chapters is eagerly awaited.
