Natsumi Ito was previously known for the highly acclaimed My Dear Detective: Mitsuko's Case Files (Kimi wa Nazotoki no Masheri), which was published between 2021 and 2025. Set in 1920s and 30s Japan, that series told the story of Mitsuko Hoshino, one of the country's first female detectives, as she challenged gender roles.
