New Manga Series "The Time-Leaping Villainess and the Silver-Haired Assassin" Launches

A new series that brings a fresh breath to the manga world in Japan has hit the shelves. Written by Maebaru Makino and illustrated by Rubiru, the new manga "暗殺者とはじめる復讐計画 死に戻り令嬢は憧れの悪女を目指す" (English approximate translation: Revenge Plan with an Assassin: The Time-Leaping Lady Aims to Be the Villainess She Admires), began serialization simultaneously in the magazines COMIC Ruelle and COMIC Jardin on June 19, 2024.
The series combines the increasingly popular "time-loop" and "villainess" themes in recent years. The story begins when a young woman from a noble family gains the ability to return to her past and decides to transform into the villainess character she admires this time. However, things don't go as planned; she has to flee with a silver-haired, mysterious assassin by her side. The pair escape the shadows of the past while carrying out a ruthless revenge plan against their enemies.
Although author Maebaru Makino is not previously known for similar works, with this new series, they aim to delve deeply into the dynamics between the "villainess" and the "assassin". Illustrator Rubiru stands out particularly for their character designs and attention to detail in action scenes. The first chapter is available for free in both magazines and has already received positive feedback from fans.
COMIC Ruelle and COMIC Jardin are magazines owned by Japanese publisher Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha, focusing on romantic fantasy manga that particularly appeal to female readers. This new series also targets the same audience: a narrative woven with strong female characters, plot twists, and romantic thriller elements. This manga, bringing fresh air to the "time-leaping villainess" subgenre, will especially attract fans of series like "My Next Life as a Villainess" and "The Reincarnated Villainess's Dark History".
The first volume of the series is expected to be published in print in fall 2024. Digitally, chapters will continue to be released every Wednesday. While readers in Turkey can currently access the original Japanese version, no official announcement has been made regarding a potential English or Turkish license. Nevertheless, with its popular themes and exciting start, this series is likely to gain an international fan base in a short time.
