A New Era in Monthly Comic Zenon: "Tawaman Quest" by Ryuuhaku Nagata and an Intriguing Romantic Comedy Begin

Monthly Comic Zenon, one of the beloved channels of the manga world, presented two new stories to its readers with its August issue published on June 25th. In this issue of the magazine published by Coamix, the survival thriller Matengi -Tawaman Quest- and the quite intriguing romantic comedy Deatte 3-pun de Mimikaki officially began. Both series bring a fresh breath to the magazine's rich content spectrum with their approaches to different genres.
Matengi -Tawaman Quest-, in particular, is a subject of great curiosity for readers who love dark and immersive stories. The creator of the series, Ryuuhaku Nagata, is a name known for survival-themed works such as the 8-volume Abyss and Satsujin Ryoudan Madmen. The new story takes place in "Tower Mansion" (Tawaman) buildings, which are symbols of luxury and status in Japan. The manga, which focuses on the struggle of characters trying to escape from this massive tower filled with desire and ambition, holds a mirror to the class differences of modern society and the dark desires within humans.
The second series starting in the magazine, Deatte 3-pun de Mimikaki, focuses on a much different and niche theme. As the title (Ear Cleaning 3 Minutes After Meeting) suggests, this work by Kuensan Misuji deals with the intimate and equally strange moments that develop immediately after the characters meet. "Mimikaki" (ear cleaning), which is a popular relaxation method in Japanese culture and a staple of the ASMR world, takes center stage in this series, making an unusual entry into the romantic comedy genre.
Monthly Comic Zenon is known for hosting giant names in the manga industry such as Record of Ragnarok (Shuumatsu no Walküre) and City Hunter spin-offs. The magazine also solidified its popularity with Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku!? (Otaku ni Yasashii Gyaru wa Inai!?), which recently made a big splash with its anime adaptation. These two new series are seen as part of the magazine's strategy to expand its spectrum of both dark action and original romantic comedy. If you are looking for different and original stories, we recommend you follow these two new series!
