New Romantic Fantasy Manga Ryujin-sama no Futago no Tsugai Meets Readers

One of Japan's popular digital platforms, Comic Seymour, released the ambitious new romantic fantasy manga series Ryujin-sama no Futago no Tsugai (The Dragon God's Twin Mates) to readers as of April 3rd. Adapted from the original story by Natsuse and brought to life with the impressive illustrations of Yoko Hazuki (Team Summer Leaf), the series focuses on a dramatic reunion and the twists of fate. The series blends the "rise of the outcast hero" theme, which has gained popularity in recent years, with a mystical atmosphere.
At the center of the story is Tsubomi Hanamura, who was born into a branch of the prestigious Asagiri family, which serves the legendary Dragon God that protects the Imperial Capital. However, unlike her family, Tsubomi is seen as a "cursed child" (imigo) and is scorned because she possesses no supernatural abilities. Remaining in the shadow of her twin sister Saki, who receives all of her family's love and attention, Tsubomi experiences an encounter that will change her destiny after years of loneliness.
Everything changes when Tsubomi encounters Homare, the next heir to the Asagiri main family, after a long eight-year separation. The moment the pair's fingertips touch, a glowing Dragon Mark (Ryujin-in), which is described in legends and seen only in true mates, appears. Although Homare declares Tsubomi his bride following this miraculous mark, things become complicated with the families' dark plans and the arrival of the jealous sister Saki at the main house as a "bride candidate."
Ryujin-sama no Futago no Tsugai offers a quite familiar and beloved narrative, especially for readers who enjoy works like My Happy Marriage (Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon). Yoko Hazuki's elegant art style successfully reflects the emotional depth and fantasy elements of the story. With the manga attracting great interest in its first chapters, whether it will receive an anime adaptation as its popularity grows and physical volumes are printed has already become a subject of curiosity among fans.
