New Series in Jump from Creators of Hime-sama and We Never Learn: Animal Signal

In the June 28, 2025 issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, the joint project of two renowned manga artists, Animal Signal, officially launched. The series' story is by Haruhara Robinson, known for his popular work Hime-sama 'Gōmon' no Jikan desu (The Princess' Torture Time), and the illustrations are by Taishi Tsutsui, creator of We Never Learn (Bokutachi wa Benkyō ga Dekinai). This time, the duo offers readers a fun animal comedy.
Although not many details have been shared about the series yet, as its name suggests, it has a comedic narrative involving animals. Haruhara Robinson blended humorous elements with a fantasy princess theme in his previous series, while Taishi Tsutsui captured a large fanbase with We Never Learn in the romantic comedy genre. The collaboration of these two talented manga artists has already sparked curiosity among Jump readers. Published in Shueisha's flagship magazine, Animal Signal stands out as part of Jump's recent pursuit of diversity.
Haruhara Robinson is known for the long-running Hime-sama 'Gōmon' no Jikan desu on the Shonen Jump+ platform, while Taishi Tsutsui made his mark with We Never Learn, which was serialized in Jump from 2017 to 2020. Tsutsui has also worked on spin-off series such as Magical Pâtissier Kosaki-chan. This first collaboration between the two appears to progress with short, laughter-filled chapters, in line with Jump's recent trends. The 28th issue of the magazine went on sale today in Japan and is also available on digital platforms.
This collaboration was a surprise especially for We Never Learn fans, as Tsutsui is returning to Jump after a long hiatus since finishing that series. Meanwhile, Robinson is embarking on his first major series in the main magazine. Time will tell whether Animal Signal will be short-lived or become one of Jump's new classics. However, the coming together of two masterful names is reason enough to follow the series. More character introductions and story details are expected in the coming weeks. Jump readers, get ready for this new adventure full of animals!
