New Series on LINE Manga: Comedy of a Girl Turning into an Average God Begins

The new manga series "邪神アベレージ 平均を望んだ美少女、異世界で平均的な邪神となる" (Jashin Average: The Beautiful Girl Who Wished to Be an Average God Transforms into an Average God in Another World) by author Yünaki Kitase and illustrator Keisuke officially began serialization on the LINE Manga platform as of June 9.
The story follows a young girl seeking an ordinary life who suddenly finds herself in another world and becomes an "average god" there. This unexpected transformation turns into a comedy full of laughter and absurd situations. LINE Manga, one of Japan's most popular digital manga platforms, often hosts such isekai comedies.
In recent years, while the isekai genre has seen a huge boom in manga and anime, the theme of 'being ordinary' continues to attract audiences. Keisuke is known for various anthology works, while Yünaki Kitase is recognized for his success in scriptwriting. This joint project of the duo humorously explores both typical isekai tropes and the irony of the desire to be 'average'.
The first chapter of the series was released on June 9, and subsequent chapters are expected to be released weekly. LINE Manga subscribers can read the first chapter for free. At a time when the digital manga market in Japan is growing rapidly, 'Jashin Average' is poised to become a fresh breath for genre fans. In upcoming chapters, the main character's interactions with other world inhabitants and the limits of her 'average' power will be explored in more detail.
