No Game No Life Volume 13 Trailer Released: The Grand Return of Sora and Shiro Begins!
The legendary light novel series written and illustrated by Yuu Kamiya, No Game No Life, has finally returned with its 13th volume, ending the long wait for its fans. The promotional trailer released for the new volume, which officially launched in Japan on April 24, 2026, is narrated by the famous artist Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, who voices the character Sora in the series' anime adaptation. This new volume marks the first main story continuation since the release of the series' 12th volume in February 2023.
The new volume is titled "Gamer Kyoudai-tachi wa 'Maou' o Utsu (Sukuu) You desu" (The Gamer Siblings Appear to be Slaying/Saving the Demon King). The story continues the Demonia & Devil Arc, one of the most challenging struggles in the world of Disboard that began in volume 12. Focusing on the relentless battle of Sora, Shiro, and their allies at the Demon King's Tower (Garad Golm), the trailer highlights the strategic battles and unexpected events our heroes face to reach the "true ending."
Since its debut in 2012, No Game No Life has become one of the most successful works in the modern light novel world, selling over 6 million copies worldwide. However, the stomach cancer treatment and ongoing health issues faced by the series' creator Yuu Kamiya (Thiago Furukawa Lucas) in the past have caused long gaps in the release schedule of new volumes. Despite the difficulties he has faced while personally handling every detail of the series as both author and illustrator, Kamiya continues to bring the series closer to its finale (estimated to be volume 16).
The question that has become a legend in the anime world, "When will the second season arrive?", has been reignited within the community with this new volume. Although the 12-episode anime produced by Madhouse studio in 2014 and the 2017 film No Game No Life: Zero achieved great success, there has been no official second season announcement yet. However, the increase in source material and the fact that the series still reaches high sales figures keep the fans' hopes alive. For now, all gamers need to do is discover what tricks and strategies Sora and Shiro will use in this new adventure.
