One Piece 2nd Global Popularity Poll: Results for Ranks 31-100 Announced
The rankings between 31 and 100 in the 2nd Global Popularity Poll, eagerly awaited by One Piece fans, have been announced. According to the official results, this range includes notable names such as Gol D. Roger, Joyboy, Marshall D. Teach (Blackbeard), Imu, Monkey D. Dragon, and even the Straw Hats' first ship, Going Merry.
According to Anime Corner, the results for ranks 31-100 of the poll were shared via the official One Piece website. The top 30 spots will be announced in One Piece Magazine Vol. 18, to be released on March 4, 2025. This poll is the second major vote held since the series' first global popularity poll in 2021. More than 12 million fans from around the world participated in the voting, which took place between July 22 and August 31, 2024.
The names on the list show that One Piece has a fanbase deeply attached not only to its main cast, but also to the series' mythology and emotional moments. Gol D. Roger still has a strong fanbase as the Pirate King figure from the beginning of the series. Joyboy and Imu are mysterious characters who play a central role in the final saga. Blackbeard stands out as one of Luffy's greatest rivals, while Monkey D. Dragon took his place on the list as the leader of the Revolutionary Army and Luffy's father.
Perhaps one of the most striking results is that the Straw Hats' first ship, Going Merry, found a place in the 31-100 range. Despite being a ship, Going Merry made it onto the list thanks to fans' votes, and it is one of the most emotional symbols of the series, remembered for its farewell at Enies Lobby. This shows that One Piece fans voted not only for characters but also for the spirit of the story.
One Piece continues to be written by Eiichiro Oda and has been published in Weekly Shonen Jump since 1997. With over 500 million copies sold worldwide, the series is one of the best-selling manga in history. When the top 30 results of the 2nd Global Popularity Poll are published in One Piece Magazine Vol. 18, it will become completely clear who the fans' true favorites are.
