New Fantasy-Romance Manga from Oni & Dawn Author Hana Ikuta: Noraware Yūsha to Tokitai Seijo
Hana Ikuta's new manga Noraware Yūsha to Tokitai Seijo (The Reluctant Hero and the Waiting Saint) will officially begin publication in Japan on August 27. According to Anime News Network, this series marks a new chapter in the author's career.
Hana Ikuta previously made a name for herself with beloved works such as Oni & Dawn (2018–2020) and My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 (2019–2023). In particular, My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 garnered great attention with both its manga and anime adaptation, which aired as a TV anime in 2023. Ikuta also has another series called Koi no Shitsuyōsha.
As the title suggests, Noraware Yūsha to Tokitai Seijo is a romantic story set in a fantasy world. It focuses on the relationship between a reluctant hero who does not want to be a hero and a holy saint (seijo) who waits for him. The series will be published in Shōnen Gangan magazine. As the release date of the first chapter approaches, readers eagerly await new character designs and story details.
Hana Ikuta's new project is especially exciting for fans of Oni & Dawn and My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999.
