First Volume of Robrave Manga Series Released: Hero and Demon King Swap Roles!
Bringing a completely different perspective to one of the most deep-rooted clichés of the fantasy world, the "Hero vs. Demon King" conflict, the first volume of the Robrave manga officially hit shelves in Japan on May 8, 2024. Written and illustrated by Yabura, this new series focuses on a dark and immersive universe where, contrary to the norm, the Hero has become a tyrant and the Demon King returns as a savior.
The story begins 30 years after the Hero sealed away the Demon King. Although it is believed that peace has come to the world, in the new order under the absolute leadership of the Hero, demi-humans such as dwarves, elves, and giants have been enslaved and subjected to severe discrimination. The only hope for these people, whose honor has been trampled and who are crushed under the oppression of humanity, is the great counter-attack to be launched under the leadership of the Demon King, who has broken the seal and reawakened. In this respect, Robrave offers a revenge story that questions the classic concepts of "good and evil."
The series' creator, Yabura, is no stranger to the manga world. He previously gained great acclaim for his illustrations on Seven Days, a side story to the globally popular The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai) series.
