New Manga Licenses from Seven Seas Entertainment: The Dangers in My Heart Spinoff and More Are Coming!

Seven Seas Entertainment, one of the leading English publishers in the manga world, is here with a new wave of licenses that will excite readers. The company announced that it has acquired the English publishing rights for a total of nine new manga and light novel series, including the highly anticipated spinoff of the beloved romantic comedy series The Dangers in My Heart, titled Record of Chrono's War: Apparently I'm Only the Strongest in Bed. This announcement already promises a rich reading list for 2027.
Among the new licenses, one of the most notable is undoubtedly Record of Chrono's War, which comes from the universe of The Dangers in My Heart (Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu), created by Norio Sakurai. The original series follows the unexpected romantic relationship between a reclusive high school student named Kyotaro Ichikawa and the popular girl in class, Anna Yamada. The manga, serialized in Champion Cross (formerly Manga Cross) since 2018, has reached 13 tankōbon volumes and will conclude with its 14th volume. The series' success was also crowned with two anime seasons released in 2023 and 2024, with a third season expected to arrive in 2027.
Record of Chrono's War: Apparently I'm Only the Strongest in Bed is an isekai, action, ecchi, and harem manga penned by Ayumu Saito, Yumi Shirase, and Masato Mutsumi. The story follows the adventures of Chrono Crawford, who is transported to another world on the day of his high school entrance exam and becomes the lord and general of an army of demi-humans. His mission becomes even more personal when a beautiful half-elf girl appears in his room. This spinoff will be published in English in January 2027 under Seven Seas' Ghost Ship imprint, aimed at more mature readers.
