Shugo Chara! and Asakusa Hanayashiki Collaboration: Amu and Friends Return in Traditional Attire!

We have great news for Shugo Chara! fans! Asakusa Hanayashiki, one of Tokyo's most historic amusement parks, has launched a special collaboration with the beloved series. Running from May 13, 2026, to June 29, this event is highlighted by brand-new visuals created by the famous manga artist duo PEACH-PIT, the creators of the series.
The most striking aspect of the event is the special illustrations featuring Amu Hinamori and her friends dressed in traditional Japanese clothing (Waso). These new designs blend perfectly with the park's historic atmosphere. Visitors will be able to purchase special collaboration tickets featuring these visuals, participate in a mystery-solving rally (Nazo-toki Rally) held within the park, and enjoy Shugo Chara!-themed food and drinks.
This collaboration is not just a nostalgia trip for fans of the series, but also part of the revival of the Shugo Chara! universe. The original series, which began in Nakayoshi magazine in 2006 and won the Kodansha Manga Award in 2008, entered a new era with the sequel manga Shugo Chara! Jewel Joker, which started in 2024. This sequel, which follows Amu's middle school years and her new adventures at Arcana Academy, has successfully brought together both old and new generations of fans.
Furthermore, this event coincides with the 25th-anniversary celebrations of PEACH-PIT (Banri Sendo and Shibuko Ebara) in the industry. Original merchandise available for purchase at the park includes acrylic stands, badges, and special cards, while a giant Garapon (lottery wheel) offers the chance to win exclusive prizes.
