A Snow Fox at the Northern Fort Manga Series to be Published in English
Great news for fantasy manga fans: The series "A Snow Fox at the Northern Fort" is hitting shelves in English translation on June 25. Publisher Omoi made the official announcement on June 11, stating that the series will be available to readers both digitally and in print.
The manga is the collaborative work of three talented creators: Tawa Akeno writes the story, Tsukasa Mikuni handles the artwork, and Sochu provides script support. This trio presents readers with a mystical adventure set in a cold northern fort, themed around a snow fox. The original Japanese version of the series first launched in 2024 and quickly gained attention for its deep world-building and character development in the fantasy genre.
Omoi is known for its digital-focused publishing and bringing little-known but high-quality Japanese manga to English-speaking audiences. The company had previously added similar fantasy and folklore-themed series (such as the adaptation of "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time") to its portfolio. "A Snow Fox at the Northern Fort" promises a story centered on cold climate mythology, werewolf-like creatures, and the mysterious inhabitants of a fort. Although no official summary has been released yet, promotional images and trailers point to heavy snow landscapes and a captivating fox spirit.
The English edition of the series will be available on digital platforms (Kindle, ComiXology, Omoi's own site) as well as in a limited number of physical books. Although the price and page count have not yet been finalized, a standard volume format is expected. The June 25 date also marks the start of Omoi's summer launch events. The company stated that it will announce several new manga licenses this year. For fans, this is an opportunity not to be missed, both to step into a new fantasy world and to explore Omoi's curated library.
