New Manga from Tarachine John: "Keep on Walking" Meets Readers

Tarachine John, one of the most original voices in the manga world in recent years, is back with a new work that has excited fans. The June issue of Akita Shoten's Monthly Mystery Bonita magazine, published on May 7, 2026, featured the author's new one-shot manga titled Keep on Walking (キープオンウォーキング). This work, which adorned the magazine's cover and 32 pages of colorful centerfolds, once again showcases the author's characteristic depth.
Keep on Walking addresses the familiar unease that suddenly appears within a calm but repetitive daily life. The story focuses on the emotional journey of a character who, despite everything seeming fine, succumbs to an inexplicable anxiety and decides to embark on a journey. In this short but impactful story, Tarachine John explores the internal conflicts and desire for escape of modern humans with his unique, naive style.
This new step by the author was eagerly awaited, especially after the conclusion of his acclaimed masterpiece series, Umi ga Hashiru Endroll (Endroll of the Sea Running), in November 2025. As you may recall, Umi ga Hashiru Endroll, which tells the story of a 65-year-old widow entering the world of cinema, ranked first in the female readers' category on the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! list in 2022 and was nominated for major awards such as the Manga Taisho. This new one-shot work also provides important clues as to which direction the author's pen will take after a long-running series.
On the other hand, this issue of Monthly Mystery Bonita magazine is not limited to Tarachine John alone. The magazine also features Houkago by Saji Komori and Kana Masayaka...
