The Harem Adventure of a Hero Who Emerged from a Dungeon After 20 Years Begins: New Manga Volume Released!

Bringing an interesting perspective to the "dungeon in the modern world" theme that has recently become popular in the manga world, the first volume of the series Dungeon de Tatakaitsuzukete 20-nen no Doutei Yuusha, Chijou ni Modottara Danjo-hi 1:1000 no Sekai datta (The Virgin Hero Who Fought in a Dungeon for 20 Years, Encountered a World Where the Male-Female Ratio Was 1:1000 Upon Returning to the Surface) hit the shelves in Japan as of May 15. Written by Chihiro Mishima and illustrated by Anajiro, this series blends fantasy elements with a harem comedy for its readers.
At the center of our story is Ryuto, who entered the deep dungeons under Tokyo twenty years ago to defeat the Demon King but became trapped there. The legendary hero, known as the savior of humanity, finally manages to emerge into the daylight after twenty years of relentless struggle in the depths of the dungeon. However, the world awaiting Ryuto is very different from the one he left behind. Due to a curse left by the Demon King before he died, the male population on Earth has decreased dramatically, and the female-to-male ratio has dropped to exactly 1 to 1000.
Originally born as a web novel on the Kakuyomu platform, this series was brought to the manga world under the Monster Comics label of the Futabasha publishing house. One of the most striking aspects of the series is that the main character Ryuto has zero social skills and romantic experience because he focused only on survival for twenty years. This situation causes all sorts of funny and absurd events to happen to our hero in this new world where women look at men as if they were "sacred beings."
