Tsutomu Takahashi Holds Press Conference on Guitar Shop Rosie and Jumbo Max

Tsutomu Takahashi met with fans and media at a press conference he held regarding his manga Guitar Shop Rosie and Jumbo Max. At the event, Takahashi made candid remarks about his creative process and shared the inspirations behind his two different genre works.
While Takahashi is better known for hard-boiled crime/drama series like Jiraishin (Ice Ridge) and Ice Blade, this time he steps into a warmer and more musical world. Guitar Shop Rosie presents a story shaped around a passion for music, while Jumbo Max focuses on the absurd comedy of gigantic characters with a completely opposite tone. At the press conference, Takahashi said, "Both works are very special to me. In Rosie, I returned to my youth when I loved playing guitar; Jumbo Max was an escape I drew to relax."
Although no exact release dates have been given, it is reported that Takahashi is working on both projects simultaneously and both will soon get new chapters in Japan. In particular, Guitar Shop Rosie is expected to become a fresh addition alongside classics like Beck and K-On! for readers interested in music-themed manga.
Tsutomu Takahashi is known for balancing dark crime stories for adults and humorous series for young readers throughout his career. Guitar Shop Rosie and Jumbo Max stand out as the newest examples of this diversity. Fans will once again see Takahashi's mastery in different genres with these two works.
