Two New Manga Series Start in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine: "I Hate You" and "Dungeon Surveyor"

Bessatsu Shonen Magazine's July 2024 issue, released on June 9, hosts two brand-new series. The first new series is "I Hate You" (アイ・ヘイ・チュー), a romantic comedy between humans and demons written by mangaka Tomohiro Nagato. The second is the dungeon exploration and action series "Dungeon Surveyor: Dungeon Conquest with Maps" (ダンジョンの測量士~地図で無双するダンジョン攻略~), with story by Mizuki Uratani and art by Gen Kato.
Nagato is an experienced name who has previously created romantic comedy works such as "Kyou no Asuka Show" and "Boku no Kanojo ga Majime Sugiru Shoujo Bitcchi na Ken". With his new series "I Hate You", he aims to present an enjoyable love story set on the border between humanity and demonkind. On the other hand, the partnership of Uratani and Kato draws readers into a map-based dungeon adventure. "Dungeon Surveyor" focuses on the protagonist conquering dungeons using his map-drawing ability – a fresh twist on the genre's usual "power-up" formula.
Bessatsu Shonen Magazine is a longstanding monthly magazine under Kodansha that has hosted major series such as "Attack on Titan" and "To Your Eternity". Both new series have started their journey with the magazine's July issue. After the first chapters, it is eagerly awaited how fans will react to these two different types of works. In particular, a romantic comedy like "I Hate You" seems likely to add color to the magazine's usually action and fantasy-oriented lineup.
These new series offer an exciting start for both romantic comedy fans and those seeking dungeon-themed adventures. As the stories deepen and characters develop in upcoming issues, both series are expected to gain popularity among the magazine's regular readers. New chapters will appear in the pages of Bessatsu Shonen Magazine every month – stay tuned!
