Viz Media Shares Preview Pages from Samuel Sattin and tokitokoro's Lynx Graphic Novel
Viz Media has shared preview pages for the first volume of the new original graphic novel Lynx, written by Samuel Sattin and Japanese illustrator tokitokoro, via Anime News Network. Set to go on sale on August 11, this volume promises a striking start in both story and visuals.
Samuel Sattin is a writer known for award-winning graphic novels such as Buzzing, Kalamata’s Kitchen, and The Silver Coin. He has earned readers' affection especially with his works in young adult and fantasy genres. tokitokoro is an illustrator known in Japan for various light novel series and works in Manga Time Kirara magazine. This time, the duo has created an original universe combining mystery, supernatural elements, and youth themes.
Although the plot of Lynx has not been detailed yet, the released preview pages stand out with character designs and atmospheric illustrations. As one of the original productions Viz Media has included in this year's lineup, Lynx is seen as part of the company's strategy to expand its graphic novel portfolio beyond manga. Viz Media, which plays a key role in spreading manga and anime culture in North America, is focusing on collaborations with Western creators in addition to imported genres.
The first volume of the series will be available on both physical and digital platforms on August 11. Pre-orders are already open.
