Weekly Manga Sales in Japan: One Piece Remains at the Top with Volume 114

According to data from Comic Natalie and Oricon, two of Japan's most prestigious sales tracking platforms, the best-selling manga volumes for the week of March 23-29, 2026, have been announced. At the top of the list is the 114th volume of One Piece, which hit shelves at the beginning of March and has not lost its popularity since. Selling 72,613 copies weekly and reaching a total of 867,567 copies sold, the volume once again proves the great momentum the series has gained with the Elbaf Arc.
In second place on the list is the 8th volume of The JOJOLands (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 9) by legendary mangaka Hirohiko Araki. Selling 57,765 copies in its first week, the series continues to impress fans with the dangerous adventure of Jodio and his crew revolving around the lava rock. The third spot is taken by the 23rd volume of Uma Musume Cinderella Gray with 51,792 copies sold, once again demonstrating the unshakable power of sports and competition-themed manga in Japan.
The last week of March energized the manga world not only with sales figures but also with major announcements. During the AnimeJapan 2026 event, the second season for Kouji Miura's popular romance and sports series Blue Box (Ao no Hako) was officially confirmed. While the series' manga is currently approaching its final stages, fans are eagerly awaiting the new season starting in October 2026. Meanwhile, Sakamoto Days maintains its place in the top five with its 26th volume, and significant activity in sales is being observed ahead of the series' live-action film, which will be released in April 2026.
Another name that draws attention in the weekly charts is Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. Although this spinoff, which follows Gege Akutami's main series, concluded in March, it managed to stay at the top of the charts with its 2nd volume. Despite the rise of digital platforms, the manga industry maintains its stability in physical tankobon sales. Next week, the chart is expected to become even more competitive with the release of the new volume of Dandadan at the beginning of April.
