Yen Press Announces 17 New Manga and Novel Licenses: New Works from the Creators of Goblin Slayer and Delicious in Dungeon Are on the Way

Publishing giant Yen Press announced on May 15, 2026, that it has expanded its library with 17 new manga and light novel licenses. The announced list particularly highlights works by Kumo Kagyu, the creator of Goblin Slayer, and Ryoko Kui, who achieved great success with Delicious in Dungeon (Dungeon Meshi). This move is seen as part of the publisher's strategy to increase its diversity in the international market and bring side projects from popular authors to fans.
One of the most anticipated works on the list is Moscow 2160, a cyberpunk story written by Kumo Kagyu and illustrated by Kotaro Sekine. Set in an alternate history where the Soviet Union did not collapse, the series focuses on a dark Moscow ruled by cybernetic technologies and the Cold War. The main character, Danila Kragin, tries to survive as a mercenary known as a "janitor," with the light novel version of the series expected to hit shelves in April 2026, followed by the manga adaptation in the months that follow.
Another heavy hitter is Terrarium in a Drawer (Hikidashi no Terrarium) by Ryoko Kui. Consisting of 33 different short stories, this anthology contains the foundations of the detailed and creative storytelling style seen in Kui's Delicious in Dungeon series. This work, which won the Excellence Award at the 17th Japan Media Arts Festival, offers stories across a wide spectrum from fantasy to science fiction, and from romance to slices of daily life. Fans will be able to find Kui's unique humor and world-building skills in this massive single-volume work.
For fans of horror and drama, standing out
