Lezhin Comics' Legendary Webtoon Bad Boss Is Becoming a Live-Action Series

Bad Boss, one of the most established and impactful productions in the webtoon world, is finally being brought to the screen as a live-action series. According to the official announcement made on April 10, 2026, South Korean production giants Studio Dragon and Studio Tina have announced that they have begun the development process for the series adaptation. This legendary series, which began publication on Lezhin Comics in 2013 and reached over 2 million subscribers, has once again proven that it has lost none of its popularity over the years.
Written by the famous author Neon.B, Bad Boss tells the gripping revenge story of Seung-gyu, who has a dark past. Seung-gyu, who fell into debt due to a friend's betrayal in the past and was forced to work in a host club, appears years later as a successful advertising agency leader. However, with Min Kim, who ruined his life, starting work at the same company, a cold revenge plan is set in motion for Seung-gyu. The story is not just an office drama, but also contains a complex love triangle involving the character Young-jo and deep themes aimed at adults.
The series' creator Neon.B is one of the industry-leading names known for successful works such as The Great Catsby and Diet Go-go in the webtoon industry. Bad Boss was one of the highest-grossing productions on the Lezhin Comics platform during its publication period and demonstrated the power of digital publishing. This story, which also inspired an animated film in 2017, now aims to reach a much wider audience with the high production quality of Studio Dragon. The fact that Studio Dragon has previously produced global hits such as Sweet Home and Crash Landing on You raises fans' expectations to the highest level.
Although details regarding the series' cast or exact release date have not been shared for now, it is known that the project is in the early development stage and the two production companies recently signed the official agreement. In particular, who will portray the charismatic but wounded character of Seung-gyu has already become a subject of great curiosity on social media. In this era where webtoon adaptations are experiencing their golden age, we will see together how a mature and striking story like Bad Boss will be transferred to television.
