The World of Overwatch Expands: "Overwatch: Undivided" is Live in Collaboration with Blizzard and WEBTOON!

Blizzard Entertainment has taken a giant step toward expanding the lore of its popular shooter game Overwatch. Partnering with WEBTOON, one of the world's largest digital comic platforms, the company brought its new series titled Overwatch: Undivided to readers as of March 31, 2026. Planned to consist of 40 episodes in total, this series promises to offer fans of the game much deeper insights into the past and future of the characters.
The story is shaped around the game's current "Reign of Talon" arc. Following the fall of Watchpoint: Gibraltar, heroes attempting to reunite under the leadership of Sojourn are trying to resist the global attacks of Talon, which is under the control of Vendetta. It is stated that the series will feature beloved names such as Tracer, D.Va, Juno, Lucio, and Genji, as well as new characters. Brought to life by writer Sam King and artist Ingo Adityawanda, this project focuses not only on action but also on the characters' inner worlds and their bonds with one another.
This collaboration is considered an indicator of the importance Blizzard places on transmedia storytelling. Having entered a new story-focused annual cycle on February 10, 2026, by dropping the number suffix from its title, Overwatch continues to delight lore enthusiasts. Unlike previous collaborations with Dark Horse Comics, reaching WEBTOON's more than 85 million monthly active users is seen as a strategic move to increase the series' popularity. Blizzard officials state that this series will go "beyond the action to explore what the heroes carry and what it takes to keep going when everything is falling apart."
For fans, this series offers a depth that fills the gaps in in-game storytelling. The first three episodes of Overwatch: Undivided have been released for free, and it will be updated with new episodes every Tuesday. Thanks to WEBTOON's "Fast Pass" system, readers will be able to gain early access to future episodes. The series, which has started in English for now, is expected to be supported in French, German, Spanish, and other languages soon. If you are curious about the bonds between the heroes in the Overwatch universe and the new dangers threatening the world, we recommend you do not miss this series.
