Live-Action Film of Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub Hits Theaters in September – First Trailer and Poster Released

The live-action film based on Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub, a new installment in Korea's legendary gambling-themed manhwa series Tazza, will hit theaters in September 2026. The first teaser poster and trailer, released by the production company yesterday, offer fans a glimpse into the film's atmosphere.
The original manhwa began serialization on Naver Webtoon in 2023 as a spin-off of the Tazza series by Huh Young-man. The story follows the rise of an ordinary young man in the dark and dangerous waters of the gambling world and his connection to a mysterious figure known as 'Beelzebub.' The series has gained a massive fan base, particularly in South Korea, and has garnered millions of readers on digital platforms.
The trailer highlights high-tension gambling scenes, fight choreography, and a visual language that reflects the spirit of the era. The film is reportedly directed by Kang Yoon-sung, who previously worked on The Outlaws and The Roundup series. It is rumored that the cast will feature both fresh faces and some actors who previously appeared in Tazza: The Hidden Card. Although the official cast has not yet been fully announced, it is possible to spot a few familiar names in the trailer.
The Tazza series achieved great box office success with its first film adaptation, Tazza: The High Rollers, in 2006, followed by the similarly popular Tazza: The Hidden Card in 2014. This new production marks the third cinematic adaptation of the series. Industry experts suggest that Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub will both provide nostalgia for long-time fans and offer a modern narrative that appeals to a new generation of viewers.
With the film's release in September, intense interest from manhwa fans is expected. The official release date has been announced as September 15, 2026. Plans are in place to release further posters and character introductions, as well as hold advance screenings in the coming weeks.
