Tomb Raider King Sequel Series Released as Webtoon and Web Novel

As of July 9, 2026, Kakao Entertainment has simultaneously released the highly anticipated sequel to Tomb Raider King in both webtoon and web novel formats. This multi-platform launch offers fans of the series the opportunity to follow the story in their preferred format.
The original Tomb Raider King was created by 3B2S (author) and Sanho (illustrator) and was published on KakaoPage from 2019 to 2023. Spanning a total of 340 chapters, the series gained a massive fanbase by blending themes of tomb raiding and artifact smuggling with fantasy elements. The sequel follows the journey of the main character, Joo-heon Seo, starting after the events that took place at the end of the original series.
This move by Kakao Entertainment is part of a strategy to expand the reach of a popular IP by offering it in both visual (webtoon) and literary (web novel) formats simultaneously. This is an approach rarely seen in the industry; while web novel adaptations are usually made later, Kakao is providing maximum flexibility to fans by releasing both formats at the same time.
The first chapters of the sequel are available to read for free on KakaoPage. The series, which will follow a weekly release schedule, is expected to match the success of the original. Given that Tomb Raider King also has a large fanbase in Turkey, it is likely that Turkish translations will soon arrive on local platforms as well.
Fans are already curious about what kind of adventure Joo-heon Seo will embark on and how new characters will be integrated into the story. This multi-format move by Kakao Entertainment could set a precedent for other popular manhwas.
