Fraud Warning from Weak Hero Live-Action Producer: Beware as Season 3 Rumors Increase

The production company of the Weak Hero live-action adaptation, Playlist Studio, warned fans about possible fraud attempts during a period when season 3 rumors are spreading rapidly. In an official statement by the company, it was said, "We are not currently conducting any street casting." This warning raises concerns that malicious individuals might try to collect personal information or money by organizing fake auditions, taking advantage of the series' increasing popularity.
Originally created by Seopass (author) and Kim Jin-seok (artist), the Weak Hero manhwa tells the story of a student fighting against bullying. Since its release, the manhwa has gained a global fanbase and was adapted into a live-action series, “Weak Hero Class 1,” which aired on the Wavve platform in 2022. The series received great acclaim, especially for its realistic fight scenes and character depth. After the first season, a second season was already confirmed; now, rumors about a third season have started circulating on social media.
In its statement, Playlist Studio emphasized not only that no street casting is being conducted, but also that all official casting processes are carried out through announced and transparent channels. Fans are asked to be cautious of individuals who introduce themselves as “producer” or “casting director” and request money or personal information. In any suspicious situation, it is recommended to contact Playlist Studio's official communication channels directly.
This warning also brings along speculation about when the third season might arrive. Although the company has not yet given official confirmation, given the popularity of the manhwa and the success of previous seasons, a third season is considered inevitable. However, fans need to be patient and follow only official announcements. Not falling for fake auditions is critical to staying safe while enjoying this exciting process.
