The Shape of Your Love

Jung Yohan is a college freshman who has a very cynical view of romance. Having watched his older brother endure years of heartbreak over an unrequited love, Yohan is convinced that falling in love is a losing battle. He lives by a simple rule: if you have feelings, either confess them or give up immediately to save yourself the pain. This resolve is put to the test when he encounters Kwon Mugyeong, a gentle senior at his university who is clearly pining for a mutual friend. Unable to stand Mugyeong’s silent suffering, Yohan decides to become his self-appointed love advisor, pushing him to take action.

As Yohan spends more time coaching Mugyeong, the lines between being a wingman and a romantic interest begin to blur. He soon realizes that the 'shape' of love isn't as easily defined as he once thought, especially as his own heart starts to ache for the man who is still looking at someone else. The series beautifully captures the vulnerability and clumsiness of first love, moving beyond simple tropes to deliver a realistic portrayal of emotional growth and the complexities of human connection.

Written and illustrated by Nodeok, The Shape of Your Love is a standout title in the BL genre, praised for its soft artwork and introspective storytelling. It masterfully balances moments of lighthearted campus life with the bittersweet angst of chasing a heart that might belong to another. Whether you’re a fan of slow-burn romances or character-driven dramas, this series offers a touching look at what happens when the person trying to fix a broken heart ends up losing their own.
