5 New Cast Members Join Blue Lock Live-Action Film

The world of Blue Lock is preparing to be brought to the cinema with a live-action adaptation. According to the official announcement made in recent days, five new actors have joined the film's cast. Shihō Harumi, Sōma Santoki, Yūsuke Hirayama, Tōru Nomaguchi, and Maho Nonami are among the names that will take part in this exciting project.
In the film, whose lead actors were previously announced, the team has expanded considerably with these new additions. The production, adapted from the popular manga Blue Lock, tells the story of young footballers trying to prove their talents in an intense competitive environment. The live-action version aims to bring the energy and dramatic moments of the original series to the big screen.
As will be recalled, Blue Lock, the manga written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura, began publication in 2018 and quickly gained a large fan base worldwide. The anime adaptation released in 2022 made the series even more popular. The live-action film is seen as one of the most ambitious projects following this success.
Filming for the movie is planned to start in the second half of this year. Although an official release date has not been announced yet, it is said that the producers are targeting the fall of 2026. Details about which characters the new actors will portray will be shared in the coming weeks.
For Blue Lock fans, this live-action adaptation offers an opportunity to experience the series from a new perspective. In particular, how the intense match scenes on the field and the psychological conflicts between characters will be handled is a matter of curiosity. The ever-expanding cast also shows how comprehensive the project is.
