New Trailer and Visual Released for Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199's 6th Chapter "Blue Labyrinth"!

The legend of Space Battleship Yamato, one of the most established representatives of the "Space Opera" genre, continues to excite its fans with its modern remake series. The anticipated main trailer and visual for "Aoi Meikyu" (Blue Labyrinth), the sixth chapter of the latest project in the series, Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199 (Yamato yo Towa ni: Rebel 3199), have finally been released. The film, set to premiere in Japan on June 26, 2026, signals that the story has reached a point of no return.
In the newly released main visual, Sasha (Voiced by: Megumi Han), one of the key characters of the series, is depicted with a noticeably tense and anxious expression. The trailer promises viewers not only epic space battles but also deep psychological tension. The shocking events that began at the end of the fifth chapter, where the Yamato crew found themselves 200 years in the past in Tokyo (specifically in the year 2026, which we are currently in) due to a time anomaly, will combine with the temptation to "change history" in the sixth chapter, putting our characters through a difficult test.
General director and screenwriter of the project, Harutoshi Fukui, states in interviews that this chapter will question the fragility of humanity and the fine line between right and wrong. This 7-part film series, produced by Studio Mother, actually blends elements of the original 1980 film Be Forever Yamato and the Yamato III television series with a modern perspective. This massive story, planned to consist of a total of 26 episodes, is considered the most ambitious installment of the remake process that began with the 2199 series in 2012.
