A Livid Lady's Guide to Getting Even Anime Announces New Trailer and July 6 Release Date

The A Livid Lady's Guide to Getting Even anime has finally confirmed its highly anticipated release date. Along with a brand new trailer, it was announced that the series will premiere on July 6, 2025, on Japanese television and digital platforms worldwide. The trailer hints at the main character Lady Seraphina's intricate revenge journey while also showcasing the series' romantic and dramatic tone.
Produced by Studio Deen, the anime is based on a popular manhwa created by the duo Yeon-Dam (story) and Ryu Heon (art). The series, which gained a large readership in webtoon format, follows Countess Seraphina's clever plans to take revenge on her former fiancé Prince Calix and his supporters after being betrayed. The original story stands out for its strong female protagonist and romantic elements blended with psychological thriller.
The new trailer expands on key moments seen in previously released visuals. Particularly striking are Seraphina's cold gaze and masquerade ball-like scenes. The trailer also features the mind games she uses to defeat her enemies, as well as her inner conflicts regarding her past love. It was previously announced that the voice cast includes Haruka Shiraishi as Seraphina and Kaito Ishikawa as Prince Calix.
This announcement comes at a time when interest in anime adaptations of the “revenge melodrama” subgenre is on the rise. Following works like The Villainess Turns the Hourglass and Who Made Me a Princess, A Livid Lady's Guide to Getting Even aims to capture a similar audience. The impact the manhwa has had, especially among female readers, sets the stage for the anime to achieve similar success.
The first episode of the series will air on July 6, and a total of 12 episodes are planned. It is rumored that streaming platforms include Crunchyroll and Muse Asia. Additional voice cast and opening/ending music details are expected to be announced in the coming days. For manhwa fans, this summer looks like it will truly be a season of revenge.
