Two New Voices Join the Cast of "Always a Catch!": Meet Goffredo and Macchio!

Exciting news has arrived from the Always a Catch! (Nigashita Sakana wa Ookikatta ga Tsuriageta Sakana ga Ookisugita Ken) anime, which premiered in April and quickly gained a large fan base. The voice actors for the characters Goffredo and Macchio, who join the story in the ongoing episodes, have been officially announced. With this new announcement, it has been clarified who will bring the loyal and powerful servants of the Annovazzi family to life.
The character Goffredo, who appears starting from the fifth episode of the series, is voiced by Daiki Hamano, known for his role as Mikazuki Augus in the Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans series. The athletic and agile servant Macchio is brought to life by Wataru Komada, the beloved voice from the Hypnosis Mic project. Both artists have already won the appreciation of fans with their interpretations that reflect the unique characteristics of their roles. In particular, Goffredo's large and powerful build and Macchio's disciplined stance add a new dynamism to the series' action-packed scenes.
Adapted from the popular light novel series written by Mayo Momoyo and illustrated by Itsuki Mito, the anime tells the story of Maria "Mimi" Annovazzi, a noblewoman who is a master of martial arts. Raised as the heir to her family but dismissed from this duty upon the birth of a brother, Maria finds herself engaged to a prince she has never met during her journey to find someone to marry. Built on the theme of "the one that got away was big, but the one I caught was too big," the production blends romance and comedy with martial arts, challenging the clichés of the genre.
Produced by studio TROYCA and directed by Akira Oguro, Always a Catch! began its broadcast life on April 2, 2026. The production, with a screenplay by Michiko Yokote, aims to bring the success of its original work, which has sold over 1 million copies worldwide, to the screen. This extraordinary love story, where Maria's fists do the talking, seems set to become much more complex and entertaining in the coming episodes with the addition of the new characters.
