Always a Catch! Anime Announces Voice Actor to Bring Maria's Younger Brother Teodorico to Life
The romantic comedy anime Always a Catch! (Japanese title: Nigashita Sakana wa Ōkikatta ga Tsuriageta Sakana ga Ōkisugita Ken), adapted from Mayo Momoyo's beloved light novel series and currently airing, has added a new talent to its cast. While fans of the series eagerly awaited to find out who would voice the main character Maria's younger brother, Teodorico Annovazzi, it was announced that the young and talented voice actress Asaki Yuikawa was chosen for the role.
The character Teodorico will make his first appearance to viewers in the 7th episode of the Always a Catch! anime, scheduled to air on May 13, 2026. This character is a significant figure forming the basis of the story. The birth of Teodorico, which caused Duke's daughter Maria Annovazzi (also known as Mimi) to lose her heiress status, prompted Maria to go to a neighboring kingdom to marry and embark on an unexpected romantic adventure with Prince Renato di Rubini. Described as a cheerful and adorable child, Teodorico's name is also notable for meaning 'master of the people'.
Asaki Yuikawa is a rising voice actress born in Tokyo and affiliated with I'm Enterprise agency. Starting her career in 2022, Yuikawa quickly took on significant roles. She previously lent her voice to characters such as Hōjō Tokiyuki in The Elusive Samurai anime and Mutsumi Sugimoto in Tonari no Yōkai-san.
