The World of BanG Dream! Grows: The First Permanent Official Store Opens Its Doors in Tokyo
A historic moment has arrived for BanG Dream! fans! The series' first permanent official store, BanG Dream! STORE, will open its doors on April 24, 2026, on the sixth floor of Ikebukuro PARCO, one of Tokyo's popular destinations. The retail experience, which has been limited to temporary events (pop-up stores) until now, will become a permanent meeting point for followers of the series with this new location. The store's concept has been defined, in line with the spirit of the series, as "Everyone's 'Kizuna' (Bond) creates sparkling moments that can only be found here."
The first event organized specifically for the store's opening focuses on the cornerstone of the series, the band Poppin'Party. As part of the "Poppin'Party × Flower Garden" fair, which will take place between April 24 and June 4, special products themed around the band members Kasumi Toyama, Sae Hanazono, Rimi Ushigome, Saaya Yamabuki, and Arisa Ichigaya will be available for purchase. Fans will be able to get their hands on exclusive collector's items such as diorama acrylic stands, full-graphic towels, a Yamabuki Bakery plate, and embroidered cushions. Additionally, visitors who exceed a certain spending limit will be gifted special "celebration cards" and ticket-style transparent markers.
Launched by Bushiroad in 2015, BanG Dream! (commonly known as Bandori) quickly turned into a massive ecosystem with its anime, manga, and especially the Girls Band Party! mobile game. The bands formed by voice actors who also play instruments in real life constitute one of the most unique aspects of the project. Celebrating its 11th anniversary on February 28, 2026, the franchise has once again proven its permanent place in the industry and the size of its fan base with this new store. Opening a permanent store in a region like Ikebukuro, which is considered the heart of otaku culture, shows that the brand is not just a game or anime, but a living community.
So, what else awaits us in the BanG Dream! universe? Despite having passed its 10th anniversary, the project continues without slowing down. In the summer of 2026, the BanG Dream! Yume Mita anime, which centers on the band Mugendai Mewtype, will meet the audience. In the autumn, the Ave Mujica prima aurora film will hit the big screen. Furthermore, the series' new generation mobile game, BanG Dream! Our Notes, is also planned to be released this year.
