BanG Dream! Our Notes Trailer Released: Virtual Group Mugendai MewType Takes the Stage!
Bushiroad's beloved multimedia project BanG Dream! has shared an exciting trailer for its new mobile rhythm game, BanG Dream! Our Notes (also known as Atsudori in Japan). This latest promotional video focuses on one of the series' most unique formations, the virtual group Mugendai MewType (MuMu). Scheduled for a global release in 2026, the game will be published by Bilibili Game and will offer fans a brand-new experience by combining the musical depth of the series with the virtual world.
Mugendai MewType is a five-member virtual girl group first announced in late 2023. The group features Nakamachi Arale on vocals, Miyanaga Nonoka and Minetsuki Ritsu on guitars, Fuji Miyako on keyboards, and Sengoku Yuno on DJ/MP duties. Unlike traditional BanG Dream! bands, this group operates both as VTubers (Virtual YouTubers) and produces their own music as part of the project. The new trailer showcases the group's energetic performance style and the characters' in-game visual designs in such detail for the first time.
Bushiroad president Takaaki Kidani and producer Nemoto Yuuki, the names behind the project, also explained why they are developing a new game instead of adding to the existing Girls Band Party! game. According to the statement, the scale of the BanG Dream! universe has grown so large that it had become technically difficult to integrate the stories of groups like MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica into the current system. Our Notes will serve as a dedicated platform to delve deeper into the stories of these new-generation groups (MyGO!!!!!, Ave Mujica, Mugendai MewType, millsage, and Ikka Dumb Rock!).
Starting as a manga project in 2015, BanG Dream! has evolved into a massive ecosystem today with anime series, films, and real-life concerts. The Our Notes game will feature a multi-path narrative structure, allowing players to witness the development of 25 different characters. Featuring both original songs and popular anime covers, the game is a candidate to become the new favorite for rhythm game enthusiasts in 2026 with its real-time multiplayer modes and impressive animation sequences.
