Bushiroad's multimedia project BanG Dream! is known for its stories revolving around music bands. The series previously focused on the adventures of groups such as Poppin'Party, Roselia, Raise A Suilen, and most recently Ave Mujica. Now, a new unit is on the horizon: Yumekai Dai Myu Type (夢限大みゅーたいぷ). This anime will tell the story of this group's formation and the dreams of young musicians.
The released second trailer features scenes from the characters' daily lives and songs heard for the first time. A new song performed by Yumekai Dai Myu Type will be used as the opening theme. The non-credit opening video was also released alongside this song. The trailer also includes some mysterious scenes, indicating that the story will not be limited to music but will also host dramatic events.
This production holds special significance for BanG Dream! fans because Yumekai Dai Myu Type stands out as the newest generation group in the franchise. Previously, this group's stage performances and live events had garnered great interest. Now, through the anime, the characters' backgrounds and group dynamics will be detailed. The exact release date for the series has not been announced yet, but it is expected to air in the spring of 2025. The release of new visuals and trailers suggests that an official premiere announcement may come soon.
