Black Clover Season 2 Arrives in October 2026: Director and Main Team Return

Black Clover fans have great news: The second season of the series will officially air in October 2026. According to Anime Corner, the new season's director and main team consist of the same names from the first season. This means the series will maintain its consistency and quality.
The first season, which aired 170 episodes between 2017 and 2021, Black Clover was adapted from Yūki Tabata's same-named manga. The series tells the story of Asta, who has no magic power, dreaming of becoming the Wizard King in a magical world. After the first season, the film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King released in 2023 was highly acclaimed.
The new season will be directed once again by Tatsuya Yoshihara. Yoshihara is known for his energetic action scenes and focus on character development in the first season. Also, the writing team will largely remain the same. This indicates that the story will cover the manga's Spade Kingdom Arc and beyond. Since the manga is still ongoing, the anime may catch up to the manga by the time it airs.
Tabata's manga has sold over 18 million copies worldwide. Black Clover is often mentioned alongside titles like Naruto and My Hero Academia among action-loving shonen fans. The arrival of the second season is significant because, unlike many projects delayed due to recent bottlenecks in the anime industry, it has been announced with a clear release date.
Although October 2026 still seems quite distant, it is clear that studio Pierrot is taking time for a quality production. Fans have already started creating theories: Asta's new forms, Yami's past, and connections with Liebe are topics of curiosity. Official promotional trailers and visuals are expected to be released in the coming months.
