Black Torch Anime Announces English Dub on Same Day as Premiere

Black Torch anime has announced that the English dub will be released simultaneously with the first episode, which premieres this weekend. According to Anime News Network, the dub cast includes well-known names such as AJ Beckles, Ben Balmaceda, Ben Diskin, and Erin Yvette.
Written and illustrated by Tsuyoshi Takaki, Black Torch was first serialized in Shueisha's Jump Square magazine from 2016 to 2018. The five-volume series tells the story of Jiro Azuma, a young ninja who can communicate with animals, and the mysterious werewolf Raizo. Set amid spirits, supernatural creatures, and the threat of a dark organization, the manga was particularly noted for its action scenes and atmospheric artwork.
After the anime adaptation was announced, fans anticipated that the English dub would follow quickly. The same-day dub decision will especially facilitate international viewers' access to the series. The inclusion of experienced voice actors like AJ Beckles (Jiro Azuma) and Ben Diskin (Raizo) in the cast raises expectations for the adaptation's quality.
Although the platform for the anime has not yet been officially confirmed, based on similar past announcements, it is expected to be available on a digital platform like Crunchyroll, with both original Japanese subtitled and English dubbed options. Given the popularity of the series, the Black Torch adaptation is sure to be one of the most notable releases of this summer for both manga fans and new viewers.
