Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War stormed through the 8th week of the Summer 2026 season. Collecting 25.75% of the votes in the weekly anime ranking held by Anime Corner, the series took first place while also breaking the record for the highest vote percentage in the platform's weekly polling history.

This rate stands out as a level no other series has ever reached in Anime Corner's weekly rankings, which have been running for years. While previous records generally hovered in the 15-20% range, Bleach TYBW receiving more than a quarter of the votes once again proved how massive the interest in the series' final arc is. Although other ambitious titles of the season followed the series in the voting, Bleach's overwhelming dominance left its mark on the week.

The timing of this record is also quite meaningful. Thousand-Year Blood War, the final arc of the Bleach manga by Tite Kubo, was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump between 2001 and 2016 and spanned 74 volumes. The anime adaptation, on the other hand, aired 366 episodes between 2004 and 2012 before ending without adapting the final arc. The TYBW anime is being released in parts using the cour system. The fact that the currently airing fourth and final cour, The Calamity, is the most anticipated title of the Summer 2026 season is cited as the biggest reason for this record vote. In particular, the final battle between Ichigo Kurosaki and Yhwach and the visual spectacle of the Bankais have been trending on social media for weeks.

So why is this record so important? Along with Naruto and One Piece, Bleach is part of the "Big Three" legend of the 2000s. For years, the final arc not being adapted into anime remained a major unresolved issue for fans. Now, the adaptation of the series' darkest and most epic arc without any censorship or cuts, with new scenes personally added by Kubo, has locked both old fans and the new generation of viewers to the screen. This 25.75% record is not just a weekly first-place finish, but also proof of how strong Bleach's legacy is.
